*** Initial Youth Panel Meetings have ended. We aim to offer additional Youth Panel meetings as we near weekend service startup to do additional program development with youth, if needed, & involve youth in the marketing stage, as requested.
Stay tuned for the 2nd stage of Youth Panel!
Participants in the 1st stage of Youth Panel collaborated with us in coming up with solutions for a wide range of program development topics, including: eligibility, intakes, age range, youth needs, activities for initial start of services, the type of safe community
& supports they would like to see offered.
The Program Development Youth Panel is an opportunity for youth & young adults to have a direct voice in creating our program services from the very start. It is an opportunity for us to hear from youth what services, within our mission and program goal, we can provide that is most needed.
We honor the lived experience of youth & young adults in our community and are collaborating with youth in deciding some of our program details & initial steps.
** We appreciate Walmart Neighborhood Market, store #3050, for helping us with funds through Walmart Local Community Grants. Thank you for helping us make the Youth Panel happen! **

We will provide a meal at in-person meetings & a gift card to youth participants.
Due to the workgroup topics in these meetings, we can provide references for participants that engage regularly.
If transportation is a barrier, we can provide a bus pass if you reach out in advance.
(The amount of the gift card is to be determined at this time because we need to work within the grant provided, so it is dependent on the number of participants.)
Youth & young adults, ages 16 through 25, who fit within our mission of having lived experience with trauma, are invited to participate.
An important note about the term "trauma" :
There are a lot of different words to use in defining a traumatic experience. For example, someone may have gone through a crisis, lived through a high stress or scary situation, or a really rough and unstable living situation and all those ways of defining their experience would fit within our program. People have a right to define their own lived experience however they choose. Being a low barrier program, participants do not have to explain or justify their experience to us in order to participate in the Youth Panel. We will take participants at their word that their lived experience fits.
We request that participants RSVP if possible, but if you decide to come last minute without an RSVP, you are more than welcome.
RSVP using the link on the home page, email us at pawsitiveripples@gmail.com, or call or text (360)518-4540.
When you RSVP, please let us know if you have any food preferences or restrictions.
We'd love to have you join us!
